Anyone growing up in the 1980s will remember Roald Dahl’s “Tales of the Unexpected”. Funny, bizarre, sinister and macabre were the sort of words used to describe Dahl’s wonderfully disturbing short stories, transformed into television dramas and shown late on a Saturday evening.
